Henry Jake Rohlmeier, Jr. (Junior), 77, of Bern, KS passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Life Care Center of Seneca. He was born on April 5, 1948 on the family farm located northeast of Dubois, NE, the son of Henry and Esther (Kroemer) Rohlmeier. Henry attended school in Dubois until he was 10 years old and then they moved to the family farm located west of Bern, KS where he attended Bern School until he graduated high school.

Henry was united in marriage to Darlene Marie Hartung on January 5, 1973 at Frieden's Church of Christ in Bern, KS. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his death. To this union, one son and two daughters were born.
They made their home in Bern, KS and Henry farmed where he grew up on the family farm. Henry worked on the family farm and assisted neighbors on their farms. He retired from farming in 2013.

Henry enjoyed piddling around the farm and driving grandchildren around the farm on his tractor. Henry enjoyed driving his 1945 "B" John Deere tractor in the Humboldt Fair parade until 2019. He enjoyed attending tractor pulls, hunting, and occasionally fishing with his son, Brad. He enjoyed cruising country roads with his daughters, Dawn and Debra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Eugene, Howard, Lyle Rohlmeier and sister, Henrietta Rohlmeier.

Henry is survived by his wife, Darlene of the home; one son, Brad (Jennifer) Rohlmeier of Seneca, two daughters: Dawn Rohlmeier of Merriam, KS and Debra (Brandon) Schober of Vermillion, KS; 8 grandchildren, Colby (Amelia Shuler) Boehm, Emma (Austin) Sullivan, Ashly (Caleb) Durland, Tyler Boehm, Hanna Schober, Hunter Schober, Jeremy Rohlmeier and Isabella Rohlmeier; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Frieden's Church of Christ in Bern, KS. The family will greet friends and family on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. The family requests that friends and family coming to the service to please dress casual or in flannel shirts. Burial will be in the Frieden's Church of Christ cemetery.
