Louis “Buzz” Peterson, 93, of Arrington, KS passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Tri-County Manor in Horton. He was born July 9, 1920 on a farm northwest of Horton, Kansas, the son of Christian Julius and Viola Jane Torson Peterson.

Buzz was a farmer and stockman all of his life and had moved to Arrington from Doniphan in 1965. He was a member of the Larkinburg Christian Church.

He married Louise Mary Anderson on December 6, 1949 in Berrysville, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on January 21, 1979. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Patrick, granddaughter, Riki and his sister, Grace McMillen. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Aitkens of Circleville, KS, Sharon Shofe of Wichita, KS and LuEtta Heineken of Doniphan, KS; his sons, Lee Peterson of Whiting, KS, James  Peterson of San Antonio, TX, Robert Peterson of Atchison, KS and Jay  Peterson of Holton, KS; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Larkinburg Cemetery.
