William Christian (Bill) Wessel, Jr., 85, Atchison, Kansas died Monday, January 20, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church with Rev. Doctor Andrew Grosso, as celebrant.   Inurnment of the cremated ashes will follow in Trinity Episcopal Garden.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity Episcopal Church and may be left in care of Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.

Bill is survived by his wife Nancy Wessel of the couple’s home, three daughter’s Nina (Gerald) Schletzbaum, Atchison, KS, Lydia (Sam) Funk, Atchison, KS, Nanette (George) Kissenberth, Warren, VT, a son, William Christian “Chris” (Noel) Wessel, III, Jonesboro, AR and five grandchildren.
