Donna L. Pinick, 77, of Havensville, died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Community Hospital in Onaga.

She was born February 25, 1936 at Soldier, the daughter of Lyle and Jessie Bottom Thompson. She graduated from Soldier High School in 1954.

After high school Donna worked at different restaurants in Holton and for the State of Kansas, doing bookkeeping. She later cooked at the Havensville Grade School for twenty-three years.

Donna was a member of the Havensville Christian Church, the Onaga Senior Center, and the Auxiliary to Havensville American Legion Post No. 333.

She married Daryl L. Pinick on August 4, 1956 at Havensville. He survives, of the home.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Norma Jean Thompson, who died in infancy.

Other survivors include two sons, Dennis Pinick and wife Loretta, and Donald Pinick; and one daughter, Darlene Niehues and husband John, all of Havensville; a brother, Max Thompson and wife Edrie, Holton; four grandchildren, Ryan Pinick and fiance Stefanie, Lisa VanDonge and husband Adam, Matthew Niehues and wife Chricket, and Chris Niehues, and two great grandchildren, Noah and Charlee VanDonge.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 27th at the Havensville Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Havensville Cemetery. Donna will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Havensville Christian Church, the Onaga Senior Center, or H.R.H.S., and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O.
