Doniphan County voters will decide this November whether to allow establishments in the county to serve liquor by the drink.
The county commission Monday approved a resolution placing the issue on the November 6th general election ballot.
The resolution was approved on a 2-1 vote, with Commissioner Wayne Grable voting no.
If approved by voters, liquor by the drink would be allowed in establishments where food accounts for 30 percent of gross receipts.
Elwood City Attorney Joel Euler last month requested the commission consider placing the issue on the ballot on behalf of several business owners.
