(KMZA)--A two-vehicle late Tuesday morning Marshall County wreck sent a Vermillion man to the hospital.
According to a report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, it happened at the intersection of K-87 and K-9 Highways near Vliets shortly before 11:00.
The report states 70-year-old Don Leach, of Hiawatha, was northbound on K-87 when he failed to stop at the intersection and his semi tractor-trailer was struck in the side by an eastbound pickup truck on K-9 driven by 57-year-old Maurice Bergman.
Bergman was transported by ambulance to Community Memorial Healthcare, in Marysville, with unspecified injuries.
Leach was not hurt.

The man that caused this accident and his DANGEROUS semi tractor-trailer need to be removed from the roads! He has caused so many to fear for their lives and ran them off the road!

This accident involved our brother. He is in critical but stable condition in ICU since September 16th. He will be there for a very long time and prayers would be appreciated from all prayer warriors out there. Hes been through several operations and will be having another operation tomorrow. He was an avid bike rider and always wore all the equipment that he should have been wearing. Thank you everyone who saved him. Sister, Ruth Ann Kempher Clark
