The town of Humboldt will welcome the arrival of spring this week with the third annual Springfest celebration. The celebration will be held Thursday with activities scheduled around the Square from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m., promising fun for folks of all ages.
Activities include a petting zoo, face painting, and free train rides around the square.
Susan Phillips with SENCA says there will be more than 20 vendors and food booths set up at the Fire Hall, the Community Building, and the South Room of the Legion Hall – where there will be several local service clubs and organizations. (play audio :22)
In addition, the City Auditorium will be open for tours, and Phillips says the Library is hosting a unique fundraiser. (play audio :33)
