Power Back on in Falls City after Monday Morning Outage
05/21/2012

Business got off to a slow start in Falls City Monday morning, as a power outage knocked out electricity to several businesses along Harlan and Stone Streets for about three hours.
According to officials at Falls City Utilities, a wire coming from the power plant, that sends electricity to the city, shorted out.  Line crews were able to locate the wire and remove it.  Utility officials say the problem that caused the outage has been fixed at least temporarily, but a more permanent fix will be necessary to fully correct the problem.
The power went out shortly before 7:30 Monday morning, and was restored just after 10 o’clock.
