A domestic disturbance leads to the arrest of two individuals, one of which was later discovered with a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
According to Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon, a deputy responded to a residence at 7118 Phillips Road.
After investigation, 27-year-old Anthony Pennington and 27-year-old Chantell Pennington were arrested for domestic battery.
Upon further investigation, Calhoon says the deputy found a substance and paraphernalia belonging to Anthony Pennington believed to be related to methamphetamine.
Chantell Pennington was able to post bond and will make her next appearance in court on May 25th.
Anthony Pennington remains in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
