A man from Kentucky was injured on Memorial Day when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving on a northwest Missouri highway.
The Missouri State Patrol says 64-year-old David Maifeld of Payneville, Kentucky, suffered minor injuries in the accident that occurred at 12:30 Monday afternoon on Route J, about a half-mile west of Fairfax.
The Patrol says Maifeld’s 2003 Yamaha motorcycle went off the right side of the road, traveled down an embankment, and overturned, throwing Maifeld from the bike.
Maifeld was transported by private vehicle to the Fairfax Community Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
