Governor Laura Kelly appointed Jacqueline Brown and Mike Daniels to the 911 Coordinating Council.
The Council monitors the delivery of 911 services in Kansas, develops strategies for future enhancements to the 911 system and distributes available grant funds to public safety answering points.
“Our 911 emergency systems are the front lines of emergency responses,” Kelly said, “I’m confident that both Jacqueline and Mike will be committed to protecting public safety through their service on the Council.”
Brown, Alma, works in the Manhattan Police Department and has been appointed to the government IT position on the Council.
Daniels, Gardner, is the public safety communications planning and administrative manager for the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC). He previously worked at the Merriam Police Department, where he was chief of police for five years. Daniels has been appointed to the position reserved for the MARC representative.
