The Humboldt City Council will hold its next regular meeting Tuesday evening. The agenda for the 7:00 p.m. session includes a couple items pertaining to the Humboldt Auditorium.
The council will consider an amendment to a contract with the Nebraska Energy Office. Grant funds from the Energy Office have been used to pay for new windows at the Auditorium. The council also plans to discuss repairs to the Auditorium roof.
Several people are scheduled to appear before the council to make various requests. Brian Mellage is requesting permission to use the ball field for a mower demonstration; Vicki Manning and Susie Shupp are requesting permission to use the City Square for a truck show; and Manning is also requesting permission to use Rose Street north of the batting cage for a Bohemian tractor pull.
The council will consider approval of a one-day liquor license for the Spirit Shoppe.
Humboldt Fire Chief Rex Kappel is scheduled to meet with the council about a fire truck. And the council will hold more discussion on Chris Horner’s request to build a shelter for geese and ducks at Lake Park.
