The search of school facilities at the west campus of Doniphan County's Riverside School District, in Wathena, continues.
That follows what's referred to as a “credible bomb threat” made late this morning.
Superintendent Mike Newman says he, and school officials, have worked with authorities, including the Kansas Highway Patrol, as the investigation continues(Play Audio :25 seconds)
Specific details of the threat-reportedly made in the form of a note-are not being made public.
Students were evacuated safely; and by 2:30 in the afternoon 80% had gone home.
There's no word on the discovery of any type of explosive.
