Planning is underway for an ag-based expo in Brown County next month, sponsored, in part, by Delaware River WRAPS.
Coordinator Marlene Bosworth says the 2012 Agriculture and Conservation Expo will be held in Horton on March 12th(Play Audio :23 seconds)
The no-cost expo will be held at the Horton Blue Building, and feature, along with an evening meal, a number of topics and guest speakers(Play Audio :27 seconds)
Among those speaking during the evening will be familiar faces from the local agricultural scene, along with well known speakers from outside the area.
To make the expo a reality, WRAPS is partnering with a number of entities, including Glacial Hills RC&D, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Kansas Rural Center, K-State Research and Extension, and local conservation districts in Atchison, Brown, Jackson, Jefferson and Nemaha Counties, to sponsor the event.
