Nemaha Central 4th Graders Learn About Kansas History

Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School 4th Graders kicked off their Trails through Kansas unit by making edible covered wagons. They learned about the parts of a prairie schooner and had a debate on whether they would have chosen oxen or mules to pull their wagon.
They were also able to experience artifacts and replicas of items that would have traveled or been traded on the Santa Fe Trail.
