Patricia " Pat" Sullivan

Patricia Sullivan, 79 years of age, was born July 1, 1945, in Rochester, Michigan.  She was the daughter of Neil and Mildred (Brabant) Williams.  She passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home in Horton, Kansas surrounded by her family. 

Patricia Williams married Donald Sullivan on March 10, 1965, in Sunland, California.  Early in their marriage, Pat was a homemaker, taking care of their three children.  She entered the workforce as an employee of Flair-Fold Shutter in Hiawatha, Kansas, retiring from there.  Post-retirement she worked at Golden Eagle casino as a cashier.  She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family.  Pat and Don were actively involved in Freedom Friday A.A. at the 1st Christian Church in Horton prior to his death on April 16, 2023. 

Pat is survived by her three children, Donna (Allen) Garmany of Scranton, KS, Tom (Mary) Sullivan of Horton, KS, and Chris (Shelly) Sullivan of Topeka, KS; and children of the heart, Don (Holly) Wilhide of Maryland and Arnold (Sarah) Tijerina of Oklahoma.  She was the proud grandmother of fifteen grandchildren: Syrinda, Trisha, Jacob (Anna), Emma (Billy), Bill, Amy, Alex, Eric, Amanda, Emily, Barbara, Natalie, Lucas; and six great-grandchildren: Jordan, Steven, Ivan, Ryleigh, Peyton, and Landon.  She is also survived by her beloved dog and shadow, Jen-Jen.  

Pat’s siblings include Patricia Warner and Michael (Janet) Williams; Margaret (Dave) Miles, Susan Pepper, Paul McAbee, Steve (Jackie) McAbee; and Laura McAdams. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, her ‘Dad’ Jim McAdams; her brother Michael McAbee and her sister Sherry Oaks. 

Graveside services will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery (3430 NW Menoken Road) in Topeka, Kansas on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11:00 am. The family will gather at The Woodshed (1901 N Kansas Ave) after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested and may be made to Freedom Friday A.A. of the 1st Christian Church, Horton, Kansas.
