Peggy S. Scholz, 74, of Atchison, Kansas passed away March 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held 10:00AM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Atchison, Kansas with Melissa Newberry officiating the service. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:30PM-7:30PM, Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, Kansas. Peggy was born on August 17, 1951, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of James W. and Mary Sue (Masingill) Kelley. She married Kenneth Scholz on Nov. 6, 1971, and celebrated fifty-four years of marriage together. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, gardening, spending time with her family, and her weekly lunches with friends.

She is survived by her husband; Kenny, son; Craig (Jessie) Scholz, daughter; Nikki (Shawn) Hamre, three grandchildren; Lauren (Josh) Hamre, Alexandra (Coleton) Tunstill, Hayden Hinton, and great-grandson; Colt Kenneth Tunstill.

She is preceded by her parents James W. and Sue Kelley and brother, James L. Kelley.
