Connie Sue Wistuba, 83, of Winchester, KS, died Saturday, March 21,2026 in Winchester.  Connie was born April 28,1942 in Valley Falls at her grandparent’s home, the daughter of Walter “Don” and 

Dorothy Jean Swisher Heineken.  She was a 1961 graduate of Valley Falls High School. She attended the Stewart Beauty Academy in Topeka, graduating in 1963. She was a cosmetologist over 50 years. Connie owned and operated Connie’s Beauty Salon in Winchester before retiring in 2004.  She was a member of Valley Falls United Methodist Church. She also attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Easton.

Connie married Francis Edward “Ted” Wistuba on October 5,1964 at Holton, KS, he preceded her in death on July 2, 2025. She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Jones, Kansas City, KS, a son, Steve (Lisa) Wistuba, Shawnee, KS  four grandchildren, Caleb (Amber) Wistuba, Joey Landin, Colin (Kathryn) Wistuba, Chloe (John) Tierney, three great-grandchildren, Declan Tierney, Harper Tierney, and Emerson Wistuba.

 A Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to Service at Funeral Home. Burial will be at Valley Falls Cemetery.
