Horton Veterans Museum is looking for volunteers so the Horton Veterans Museum can be open one Saturday each month typically the FIRST Saturday, 10am - 2 pm.  Volunteers are prepared to give guided tours, and we are adding "Visit with a Veteran" at either 11:30 or 1:00 each Saturday. The Wathena United Methodist Women are having an upcoming garage sale on July 30, 31 from 7 am to 6 pm, and August 1 from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

 

The proceeds are distributed among local missions in the fall.

 

Stop by and do some shopping at the Wathena Community Building.

The local community has organized a craft and bake sale on Saturdays from 9am to 12pm. The event will begin July 4, and will run every Saturday through August 15. Casino White Cloud is graciously allowing us to set up in the Bingo Hall. Vendors are welcome and there is no charge to set up. Stop by each Saturday to play some games and shop local.

Peru State hosts Feeding 44, a traveling food bank, on the first Fridays of each month 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Volunteers from the college and community assist with the mobile food distribution, supporting neighbors across southeast Nebraska. Signs will be posted to direct traffic
