On Friday of this week, the Morrill Public Library invites area seniors to Senior Socials from 1 to 4 p.m. in the library's large meeting room.

Enjoy an afternoon of games, snacks, conversation, and friendship in a welcoming atmosphere.

Senior Socials are held on the first and third Fridays of each month at the Morrill Public Library. We hope to see you there!

Beginning immediately and until further notice the state Veteran Service Officer for Brown County will no longer be meeting for in person conferences at Homer White American Legion Post 66 in Hiawatha. Veterans needing assistance should call 785-338-2848.  This number will connect you with a Veteran Service Officer who will be able to answer and assist you with any questions you may have.

The Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale will kick off Monday, Oct. 5 at the Fisher Community Center. This is a fundraising event for the Morrill Public Library. Donations of books will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5 and Tuesday, Oct. 6 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. The book sale itself gets underway on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and continues on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids are invited to join our Mini Fall Fest with a fall craft, games and activities and a make-n-take Halloween treat at the Book Sale from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8.
