(KNZA)--A retirement reception for longtime Hiawatha police officer Evans Woehlecke will be held Monday afternoon.
Woehlecke retired August 16th after 25 years of service to the community.
During his tenure with the police department, Woehlecke worn many hats---including that of police chief for 12 years. He served his final 3 years as the city’s code enforcement officer and building inspection.
The Hiawatha Police Department will host a reception to honor Woehlecke Monday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 at the Fisher Community Center.
The public is invited to attend.
