(KNZA)--Two Brown County bridge replacement projects advance.
Commissioner Keith Olsen presented bids from Husker Steel at Monday's County Commission meeting for the replacement of two bridges in his district.
One was for the replacement of a truss bridge on Sunflower Road, north of the K-20 junction, with a 28 by 95 foot bridge for a cost of nearly $284,000.
The other was for the replacement of reinforced concrete slab bridge on 160th Road, west of the junction with Plum Tree Road, with a 9-foot diameter tube with wing walls for a cost of just over $46,000.
The Commission voted to approve both projects.
Olsen says both projects are expected to begin early next summer and be finished by late August.
