Richardson County Board Meets

(KLZA)-- The Richardson County Commissioners approved an agreement to provide Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise with $15,000 in funding from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017.

The agreement was approved following presentation of the quarterly EDGE report by Executive Director Beckie Cromer.

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert reported on an experimental project. Huppert informed Commissioners that blacktop millings are being mixed with road rock and being placed on the Kirkman’s Cove Road as an experiment to help with the control of dust.

County Assessor Pam Vice informed the Board she will be advertising for a clerk position within the county Assessors Office.

The Board also approved the appointment of Bill Niedfeldt to the County Visitor's Committee to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Bob Williamson.  The appointment will run through December 31, 2019.
