(KAIR)--Forward movement for implementation of hands on audio/visual based learning at the Atchison County Community Schools. “We're just getting a new audio/visual program going,” USD 377 Superintendent Steve Wiseman, tells MSC News. “They've got lots of ideas and lots of good projects in place for televising events and doing some broadcasting.”
Last week, the Board of Education approved the purchase of equipment needed for the program. “I think what really impressed me the most was the students studied this and researched and gathered all their data and put together a plan. This was the equipment they wanted to purchase,” Wiseman said.
Total cost of the Board approved purchase was just over $6,700, with the monies to be used to acquire a variety of needed items, ranging from microphones to hard drives.
High School Yearbook and Social Studies teacher Paul English, who also serves as the district's audio/visual advisor, will serve as the instructor for the program.
