(KAIR)--An Atchison man, originally arrested for parole violation that resulted in more charges, will soon learn his fate.

50-year-old Gary Longbreak pled guilty in Atchison County District Court on Oct. 5 for possession of meth and no contest to felony possession of a firearm. Sentencing for Longbreak is set for Nov. 14.

Longbreak was arrested Aug. 18 when Atchison Police officers and the Kansas Department of Corrections investigators took Longbreak into custody at his residence in the 1900 block of Harper for parole violation.

Police say that during the arrest, a firearm, which was illegal for Longbreak to posses, was found along with a quantity of methamphetamine.
