(KNZA)--About 2,600 Westar Energy customers in Brown County lost power early Thursday morning for about 3 hours.

Westar Energy Spokeswoman Yvonne Etzel says the outage was reported around 6:00 and service was restored around 9.

There was no immediate word on what caused the outage.
