(KAIR)--Loud, inappropriate language, allegedly used by a parent, sends the Atchison County Elementary School into lockdown mode.
That happened Thursday morning, according to the USD 377 Twitter account.
The tweet states that students overheard the use of profanity by the parent, but only adults were involved.
Students were locked in their classrooms, with their teachers and aides, until the situation was resolved.
The Atchison County Sheriff's Department responded, along with Superintendent Steve Wiseman.
An additional tweet, answering the question of a concerned patron, clarifies that no weapons were involved, and no threats were made, with the only apparent concern revolving around the use of what the tweet calls “very loud inappropriate language.”
The situation happened around 10:15, but was resolved, allowing the Elementary School to return to its normal operation.
