(KMZA)--A motorcycle-deer collision in Nemaha County sends a Whiting man to the hospital.

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department says it happened early Friday morning on K-9 highway, about a ½ mile west of Q Road.

The Sheriff’s Office says 54-year-old Richard Traxler was eastbound on his Honda motorcycle when he struck the deer around 12:15.

Traxler was transported to the Holton Community Hospital for the treatment of unspecified injuries.
