Health Department schedules flu shot clinics

The Kay County Health Department is scheduled to host a two-week seasonal influenza vaccination clinic.

In Ponca City, flu clinics are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – Oct. 4-6, and Oct. 11-13.

In Blackwell, flu clinics include Monday and Tuesday – Oct. 3 and 4, and Oct. 10 and 11.

From Oct. 17 and beyond, flu vaccines will be provided during walk-in clinic hours: Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Kay County Health Department recommend flu vaccines every year for everyone 6 months of age and older.
