The Charity Angels AMBUCS organization reported a possible embezzlement on Sept. 18 to the Ponca City Police Department.

The total amount of alleged unauthorized and misappropriated funds is reported to be in excess of $8,000.

Crystal Lynn Bickford, age 33, of Ponca City served as the organization’s treasurer.

Bickford was taken into custody Monday on multiple counts of embezzlement. She was transported to the Kay County Detention Facility late Monday night and is expected to make an appearance Tuesday afternoon in Kay County District Court in Newkirk.

The Charity Angels is a not for profit organization made up of members that raise money to provide disabled children with Amtrykes.
