(KNZA)--A two-vehicle wreck on U.S. 75 Highway in Brown County Sunday afternoon claimed the life of a Sabetha motorcyclist.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim of the crash north of Sabetha as 51-year-old Timothy Sparks.

The Patrol says Sparks was northbound on U.S. 75 when a southbound pickup truck driven by Opelousas,Louisiana resident 33-year-old Jody Guidry, Jr. crossed the center line and struck his Harley Davidson motorcycle head-on.

Sparks, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Guidry was not hurt.

The wreck was reported around 2:00.
