(KMZA)--A Whiting man accused of igniting fireworks in an attempt to harm another individual is facing a charge of battery in Nemaha County.

The Nemaha County Sheriff's Department says 26-year-old Michael Webster was arrested Tuesday on a Nemaha County warrant.

The Sheriff's office says the alleged incident occurred August 7th in the area of 825 X Road in the Wetmore area.

Webster posted a $500 bond following his arrest and is to appear in court on October 18th.
