(KLZA)-- Unemployment dipped in Southeast Nebraska for the month of August.
A new report says the Nebraska unemployment rate for August was up slightly to 3.2 percent, a tenth of a point higher than in July.
In Richardson County the August unemployment rate was 3.3 percent;
Pawnee County had the best rate in the area at 2.4 percent.
Nemaha County was 4.3 percent, down 7-tenths of a point from July.
Johnson County had a 3.1 percent unemployment rate.
Gage County was 3.5 percent and Otoe County was 3.6 percent.
The national unemployment rate for August was 4.9 percent. South Dakota at 2.9 percent had the lowest unemployment in the nation, New Hampshire is second at 3 percent and North Dakota was third at 3.1 percent.
