The City of Ponca City and Phillips 66 are partners again in the 2016 Household Hazardous Waste Day, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.
Ponca City residents can bring their items to the parking lot at South Avenue between Pine and Oak Streets for safe disposal. Please enter the lot on the Oak Street side and follow the directions of the volunteers.

The Household Hazardous Waste Day is a special event held every two years in this partnership to help keep dangerous items out of the city's landfill. It is offered at no charge to Ponca City area residents.
Volunteers include those who are familiar with handling hazardous waste materials and know the correct way to handle, store and dispose of them.

- Used oil and filters; no drums.
- Antifreeze
- Car batteries
- Old paints
- Solvents
- Pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Fertilizers
- Wood preservatives
- Drain cleaners
- Electronics such as TVs and PCs
- Rechargeable batteries
- Ammunition
- Medications
Do NOT bring:
- Medical wastes
- Radioactive materials
- Compressed gas cylinders
- Commercial wastes
- Tires
- Kitchen appliances
- No containers over 5 gallons
- Explosives
- Hypodermic needles
- Dynamite
