Oklahoma Highway Patrol units are on the scene of a fatal accident involving a loaded semi gasoline tanker and a pickup at the intersection of State Highway 98 and U.S. Highway 70, two miles east of Valliant in McCurtain County. 

The Patrol reports the tanker is on its side and has spilled approximately 500 gallons of gasoline into the west ditch of U.S. 70. 

DEQ  is enroute from McAlester.  An incident command is evacuating the area for 1,000 feet and traffic on both S.H. 98 and U.S. 70 will be routed off the highway for several hours.
