The Ponca City YMCA has been closed  this morning because of a small fire.

Stephanie Williams with the YMCA said the fire started in a clothes dryer in the laundry room. 

The fire activated the sprinkler system, she said, and the majority of the damage is water cleanup.

Williams expressed appreciation to the Ponca City Fire Department for a quick response, and the fire was contained quickly.

The YMCA will reopen at 11 a.m. Monday, Williams said.
