(KNZA)--A Sabetha man charged in connection with a five-hour armed standoff in March has entered into a plea agreement.
50-year-old James McKenney pleaded “ no contest” Thursday in Nemaha County District Court to felony counts criminal threat and interference with law enforcement along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
In exchange for the plea, four additional counts were dismissed.
Sentencing was set for October 6th.
The judge granted a motion by McKenney’s attorney for a bond modification to allow him to the released his own recognizance. He had been held on a $250,000 bond since his arrest.
