(KNZA)--A Doniphan County bridge replacement project east of Blair advances.

The Doniphan County Commission this week accepted a bid from Wamgeo-based Ebert Construction Company for the replacement of a bridge on 190th Road over Peters Creek in the amount of $268,661.

The bid was among two received, and was under the engineer’s estimate.

The current structure will be replaced with a 44-foot steel beam bridge.

Funding through the Kansas Department of Transportation will be pay for up to $160,000 of the project cost.
