The Tonkawa Arts and Humanities Council's third annual "A Chair-ity Event" begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at TS Fork, 100 West Grand in Tonkawa.

The event will include a silent auction of 15 artists' chairsto benefit area student arts scholarships and an NOC scholarship fund.

Mike Ball with the Tonkawa Arts and Humanities Council said the event has raised $7,000 over the past two years. This year's event will be usede for the Tonkawa High School Art Department, he said.

The event will be held on the TS Fork patio, weather permitting, and will feature guitarist extraordinaire Edgar Cruz performing live music, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

In addition to the silent auction of the chairs, many of which will include companion event tickets, there will be a live auction of three packages. They include The Rocky Top, which includes seven wines, seven whiskeys, and a two-night stay at a Rocky Top Winery Cabin. The second package is The Lunch Box, and includes a wide variety of restaurant gift cards. Finally, The Tailgater includes a 65-quart Pelican ice chest, gift certificates for Danny's BBQ Head Quarters, Food Pyramid and drinks.
