Court Clerk sets Trunk or Treat for Oct. 29 at Lake Ponca

The Kay County Court Clerk's Office invites the public to plan now to attend the Second Annual Trunk or Treat, set for 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 29 at the public dock area at Lake Ponca.

The Court Clerk encourages everyone to invite their family, friends and neighbors to join the fun and to allow the little ones to Trick or Treat in safety. All activities will be in one spot.

This is a family-friendly event and no pets will be allowed. Everyone is asked to pick up their litter and give Mother Nature a helping hand.

Since  this is a nonprofit event, candy donations are requested and appreciated. They can be dropped off at the Kay County Court Clerk's Offices:

  • In Newkirk, 201 South Main Street, second floor.
  • In Ponca City, 400 East Central Avenue, Suite 100.

Volunteers can sign up to decorate the trunks of their vehicles and hand out pre-packaged candy to the youngsters.

To sign up, call the Kay County Court Clerk's office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at (580) 362-3350 or (580) 762-2148. During other hours, contact sponsor Marilee Thornton at (580) 761-4479 or Event Coordinator Heather Stewart at (580) 716-0259.
