Ponca City resident injured in accident near Burbank

Lisa Ann Sloan, 46, of Ponca City, was injured in a collision Monday morning west of Burbank in Osage County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 7:21 a.m. today 1.8 miles East of Burbank Landing, 3.7 miles west of Burbank.

Troopers reported Sloan was driving a 2007 Jeep westbound on U.S. Highway 60 when she swerved to miss an animal in the roadway. Her vehicle left the roadway to the left and collided with a guardrail, then rolled an unknown number of times,  coming to rest on its wheels. Sloan was ejected, the Patrol reported.

She was transported by Shidler EMS to AllianceHealth in Ponca City, where she was transferred by Air-Evac to St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. She was admitted there in critical condition with head and trunk injuries.
