The sidewalk improvement project continues on South Avenue between Sixth and 12th Streets.

Workers are now working on the south side of the street, between 8th and 9th Streets. On Thursday morning they were working on a driveway approach and sidewalk segment. 

Several intersections have been improved to include handicapped accessible approaches to the sidewalks.

Traffic Engineering Manager Mike Lane said at Tuesday's Planning Commission meeting that the project should be completed within 30 days. One large portion of the project will include building a retaining wall at 12th Street.
