Suspect surrenders in stabbing case

Hussan Mohammed Bey turned himself in Wednesday night at the Ponca City Police Department.

He was wanted in connection with the stabbing of Juan J Perez Sept. 2.  Perez remains hospitalized.

Police said the investigation continues.

The assault was reported at approximately 8:12 p.m. Friday to Ponca City's 911 Communications Center.

Police and ambulance personnel responded to a residence in the 600 block of West Oklahoma Avenue. Perez was transported by ambulance to Ponca City AllianceHealth Medical Center. He was transported to OU Medical Center by air ambulance, where he remains in critical condition after undergoing surgery. He suffered injuries to his neck and chest, Ponca City Police reported.

It was learned through the investigation that the stabbing took place at a home in the 300 block of South Palm.
