(KAIR)--A weekend, two-vehicle crash sends two teens to the hospital with possible head injuries.

“It was shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday when first responders did respond to 9th and Mound of an injury accident,” said Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson.

He said it was Richard Welker, of Emporia, who failed to stop at a stop sign while traveling westbound on Mound Street.

The other vehicle, driven by Larry Daniels, of Atchison, was traveling southbound on 9th Street when Welker failed to stop.

The 17-year-old Daniels and a passenger in his vehicle, who was the same age, were both transported to the hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
