Kaw City woman injured in accident

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that a passenger on a 2016 Polaris Ranger was injured in Kaw City about 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The incident occurred at State Highway 11 and Washunga Drive.

The Patrol reported Christine A. Gafford, 53, was transported by Ponca City EMS to AllianceHealth Ponca City in stable condition with a head injury.

Neither the driver, Alician Clay, 49, of Derby, Kansas, nor a second passenger, Kimberly A. Loney, 55, of Kaw City, were injured.

The Patrol's report said the vehicle was making a left-hand turn onto Washunga Drive when Gafford fell out of the vehicle.

The trooper investigating the accident cited the cause of the incident driving while intoxicated.
