(KNZA)--A single-vehicle wreck on a Jefferson County Road early Saturday afternoon claimed the life of an Ozawkie man.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Reid Allen Bressler was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on Ferguson Road, just south of 98th Road.

The Patrol says Bressler was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and his pickup truck left the roadway.  Bressler overcorrected, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway on the opposite side, where it struck some trees and overturned.

Bressler, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

The wreck was reported shortly after 12 noon.
