Students in Ponca City Public Schools have been back in session about two weeks, but they already have a holiday scheduled for Friday.

As per the 2016-17 school calendar, there will be no school for students on Friday, Sept. 2. Monday, Sept. 5, is Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday.

All employees are required to work Friday as it is a scheduled professional development day.
