(KLZA)-- One person was injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Interstate 29 about three miles south of Rock Port early Monday morning.
The Missouri Highway Patrol report indicates a semi-truck was southbound when it traveled off the road and onto the shoulder striking a Chevy Suburban that was stopped on the shoulder.
The truck driver was identified as 33-year-old Donald Steingrubey of Sheldon, Iowa. He suffered what were described as minor injuries and was transported to Fairfax Community Hospital by the Atchison County Ambulance. 28-year-old Jaime Chirino of Omaha, the driver of the Suburban, was not injured. Both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the impact.
