(KNZA)--The Troy City Council has approved an ordinance allowing the retail sale of cereal malt beverages in the original package on Sundays.
That came on a 4-1 vote at the Council’s recent meeting, with Council member Margaret Sutherland casting the lone “no” vote.
Sunday cereal malt beverage sales would be allowed between the hours of 12 noon at 8 p.m., with the exception of Easter.
The Kansas Chief reports the ordinance will become effective in 60 days unless a valid protest petition is submitted requesting that it be put to a public vote.
