(KLZA)-- Pawnee City Council members received the final draft of the Fiscal Year 2016-17 budget document from Julie Bauman, CPA when they met Monday night.

The proposal requests just over $106,000 ( $106,179) from property tax for the new Fiscal Year. The proposed tax levy is slightly more than 47.89-cents per $100 of assessed valuation.

A hearing on the proposed budget will be held September 12th, with the budget to be finalized following the hearing. 

The Council voted unanimously to approve the additional 1% budget authority allowed by state law.
